Lawn-to-Garden Incentive (L2G) Program Online Application

Receive up to $3.00 per square foot for front yards, and $3.00 per square foot for side & backyards, up to 5,000 square feet, to replace your grass lawn with a beautiful, sustainable, drought tolerant landscape. Applications placed after March 4, 2024, qualify to receive $100 per tree installed as part of the Lawn to Garden Program project, with a maximum of five trees $500 per application per year. Trees must be installed within the Lawn to Garden Program square footage boundaries and must meet design requirements in order to qualify.

    We cannot increase your footage after your project has been pre-approved, so please strive to provide as accurate information as possible in your application. Please note that LBUD may review your requested footage and reduce the project area if a discrepancy is noted. There is a total minimum of 250 square feet, and the total maximum (front and backyards combined) is 5,000 square feet per application per property.

  • It is important that you measure your project area(s) accurately. The square footage listed on the application cannot be increased from the amount reserved. Lawn to Garden incentive payment amount will be based solely on the LBWD post-inspection measurements after the project has been completed. The incentive amount will not be based on the calculation from the designer nor the property owner’s own measurements before the project starts. LBWD is not responsible for any discrepancies between the LBWD post-inspection measurements and the measurements from the landscape designer.

This promotion could be in the form of videos, print, web, and/or other venues.
